This issue is also notable for introducing a pretty significant wrinkle in terms of Ulysses' powers. It becomes clear that his powers involve more than simply calculating the most probably future. His "vision" in this issue not only offers a welcome change of pace for the series, it helps generate a sense of impending doom that Civil War II had previously been unable to muster.
